Join us for a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 9 pm, Prelude music starts at 8:45 pm

Christmas Eve is magical at Judson. It celebrates and inspires, connecting us to one another and to the Christ-child. Join us for the Christmas Eve service at 9 pm. We offer a service of four lessons and carols (and two of the lessons are poems, one by Maya Angelou, the other by Mary Oliver). 8:45 pm is Prelude Music (violin & organ) with Karen Thomas and Jim Wentink. The service will start at 9 pm with chimes. Carols, prayers, candles and a >300 word meditation on encouragement. Music by the Judson Choir and Alan Kolderie on recorder. We should finish by 10 pm. All are welcome.

Sign Message Contest

On the night of Sept. 25, someone tagged the Judson Church sign. On the one hand, we wished this had not taken place. On the other hand, we hear you loud and clear: the sign messages were too boring!  The pastor, Rev. Travis Norvell, tries, honestly he does, to come up with clever and meaningful phrases. God bless him, he went to seminary and earned a Master of Divinity, not a Master in Fine Arts. So he is asking for your help to come up with better messages for our sign.

In honor of our 110th year of existence, the pastor is giving away 11 ten dollar gift certificates to Butter Bakery for the 11 messages used on our sign throughout this year. Please send your suggestions directly to him, gtnorvell@judsonchurch.org  Keep in mind our sign is not that large, so keep your messages short and no multisyllabic words.

And if you are the perpetrator of this act, please know we hold no hard feelings. In fact, we want to help you. If you come forward, we will pay the cost for you to take an art class through Minneapolis Community Education.
