Benefit CD Release Concerts
Sept. 18th & 19th

Elpis will perform songs of love, community and the spirit from their newly released CD Consider the Lilies. Both performances will be in Judson’s visually and acoustically beautiful sanctuary.  All 14 songs are original music written by Barbara Bozonie and Char Engen. Two of them have distinct Judson origins.  “Make Me One With Your Love” was written as a prayer during the acquisition of the Steinway piano for the sanctuary, and “Earth We Care for You” was inspired by a Sunday morning discussion about concerns for the environment.

Proceeds will go to the following:  the Joyce Uptown Food Shelf, the Judson Music Program, and Women in Music Minnesota.

Elpis is one of the Greek words for hope, and one of the purposes of the concerts is to facilitate feelings of hope through love and compassion.

The Gospel Five will also perform 3 songs, including a crowd favorite “I’m Feeling Fine”.
