Special Streetfest Activities

Tennis “Kidspeed”Clinic
10:30 – 12:30 a.m.

InnerCity Tennis is offering a free, walk-up “Kidspeed Clinic”.  Aimed at children from 3 – 8 years of age, but also fun for people of all ages. It offers stations of pre-tennis activities. The Streetfest “Kidspeed” is a sampling of the comprehensive “Kidspeed” program offered at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center (Nicollet Tennis). The “Kidspeed” clinic will be outside. No need to register or bring any equipment. Children ages 3 and older are encouraged to come and experience the fun, under the direction of experienced InnerCity Tennis volunteers.

“Musical Petting Zoo”
10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

You will have lots of fun at Twin Town Guitars “Musical Petting Zoo”. At this outside tent, kids are invited to touch and play the musical instruments, with the encouragement of Twin Town Guitars’ staff.

Meals on Wheels Service Project
12:00 – 4:30 p.m.

From noon on, children and adults will be bagging dog and cat food for TRUST Meals on Wheels pet deliveries, and decorating delivery bags for Meals on Wheels clients. This provides a community service opportunity in which children can contribute in meaningful and creative ways, while working alongside their parents. Meals 0n Wheels clients appreciate it when young artists brighten up their meals. The service project is inside the church and downstairs, next to the Monkey Room.
