Judson Library
Our library is a place of education, inspiration, and relaxation. Its words and ideas connect us to the Spirit as well as to one another.
The shelves brim with a wide variety of topics related to religion and spirituality–the Bible, prayer, meditation, Christianity, Judaism, world religions, peace, social issues, the environment, parenting, grief, poetry, biography, and fiction. Children’s books have a special emphasis. Most of the books in our library have been donated by members of the Judson community and reflect our interests as well as our desire to share meaningful materials with each other. In addition, the library is a vehicle for sharing the common life of the Judson community through notebooks with minutes of Executive Council and committee meetings as well as DVDs of our worship services and programs.
The cozy, charming, newly renovated and refurbished space that houses our library reflects the creativity of the Judson community–who worked countless hours with hammers, saws, sanders, and paint brushes and, in the process, rediscovered a fireplace and stained glass windows. The room is open before and after worship services for reading and checking out materials. Through the church office, it may be scheduled for meetings of groups of up to ten people.
