Give Thanks, Give Back
We have a unique opportunity to teach our children the importance of gratitude and helping those less fortunate than ourselves. On Monday, November 28, Judson will be doing the clean up for Loaves and Fishes. We need seven volunteers (all ages welcome and encouraged) to be there at 5:45. The location is 2123 Clinton Ave. S. We have yet to fill our needed number of volunteers this year, so call or email Gretchen at (612) 870-1204 or (612) 562-4852 or gretchenwilliams@usfamily.net and say “We’ll be there!”

Caregivers’ Support Group Meeting – Sunday, December 4
The Congregational Care Committee will sponsor a meeting for caregivers on Sunday, December 4, at 10:45 am. We will meet downstairs in the main office area and use one of the conference rooms. Coffee and treats will be provided so come right after worship. This meeting is a follow-up to the meeting we had on October 30 which was very helpful for those who care for a parent, spouse or another person. Pat McLaughlin, Trust Parish Nurse, and George Burbie will lead the discussion. If you have any questions, contact George Burbie or call Kathy Urbaniak, Chair, at (612) 825-0950.

Adult Forum
On Sunday, November 27, the topic for Adult Forum will be *Describing Ways of Being Church: Creating a Common Language for Future Discussions*. What can average attendance in worship tell us about the kind of church Judson is? What does it mean for Judson to be a self-governing congregation? What functions of ministry and administration are designed to meet the needs of the congregation? What is the relationship between the clergy and the laity in meeting congregational needs? How is giving organized so that we can support both church operations and missions? By creating some common language and understanding about these questions, it will be easier for the congregation to have productive discussions during the months of transition ahead. Char Engen in Concert – December 3 at 7:00 pm at Judson
Looking for a delightful evening of original music … and for an opportunity to raise money for Judson at the same time? Come to CHAR ENGEN IN CONCERT on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 7:00pm at Judson. Char Engen has been writing songs for over 30 years. This concert will showcase Char’s songs. All proceeds from this concert after costs will be donated to the Judson Music Program. Please come and hear Char’s songs about love, self-discovery, history, courage, and community. To enhance and fill out the sound on some songs, Char will have “a band with back-up singers.” Members of this band include Barbara Bozonie, Doug Weatherhead, Jim ten Bensel, Clay Gustafson, Bill Baker (bass guitar), Paul Johnson (Mandolin/lapsteel), and Bob Bushnell (drums). Larry Weaver will be running the sound. Why not take a renewing musical break during this busy time of year and support Judson at the same time? TRIVIA QUESTION: What song of Char’s was written for a play about the Holocaust? (The answer will be given during the morning worship service this Sunday.)
