There will be an All-Church Business Meeting at 11:00, on Sunday, January 15, in Fellowship Hall. Agenda items will include temporary pastoral planning (for January and beyond), task force follow-up, and Pastoral Search Committee update. We will plan to end by 12:30.

Pastoral Care and Visitation
Reverend Nadean Bishop has begun providing visitation/pastoral care support to our church. For anything related to Congregational Care, contact Kathy Urbaniak (612-825-0950); she and Nadean are working together to arrange/provide support. From January 16 – January 31, contact Karla McGray (612-374-2827); she and Nadean will work together those two weeks.

The Congregational Care Committee
will meet Wednesday, January 11, at 1:30 pm in theAnnJudsonRoom. By making connections to those on our “Tree of Life” and specifically praying for them at our meetings, we continue to extend our love and care to those in the Judson community. We are always open to new ideas, and invite new people to join our committee. Transportation Ministry
The Congregational Care Committee is offering transportation service (rides to and/or from Judson church) on Sundays and for special services. Please contact George Burbie, (651-668-2338 or 651-442-6704) to let him know your need. Also, we are looking for willing persons from our faith community to volunteer to provide rides. You may volunteer on a weekly, monthly, occasionally, or on an emergency basis. Please contact George to offer your services. We are grateful to those who have been providing rides thus far, and for their continued service.

Caregivers’ Support Group Meeting This Sunday, January 8
The Congregational Care Committee is continuing with the Caregivers’ Support Group meetings this Sunday, January 8. We will meet downstairs in a conference room near the main office at 10:45 am. Coffee and treats will be provided so come right after worship. This is a support group meeting for those who care for a parent, a spouse, or for anyone who cares for another person. Pat McLaughlin, Trust Parish Nurse, and George Burbie will lead the discussion. Judson Market This Sunday!
This Sunday is communion Sunday, so it must also be the JUDSON MARKET Sunday! We will, as usual, have artisan bread for $3/loaf. Other sale items depend on what YOU bring! Bring your jams, canned goods, crafts, knick-knacks, whatever, to the back of the church this Sunday morning before church. Please mark your items with a price. You may take unsold items back home or leave non-perishable items for subsequent sales. We cleared $80 last month, almost doubling our previous month’s profits. Join us by shopping at and donating to the Judson Market. It’s fun, and it helps us raise money for our church.

The Gathering – Helping and Having Fun!
The Gathering, an award-winning program coordinated by Lyngblomsten in St.
Paul is a group respite care program for people with memory loss. It is also a blessing to caregivers, by giving them some “time off.” The Gathering meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at BethlehemChurch, 41st and Lyndale from 10 am to 3 pm. The cost for participants is $45 per day which includes a delicious lunch. Because Judson has volunteers who help at The Gathering (Margaret Mason, Jane Ann Nelson, and Kathy Urbaniak), anyone from the Judson community is given preference. If you know someone who may benefit from the program, please call Betsy Hoffman, (651-414-5291). Also, we are looking for more volunteers to help out once a month. The next training session is Monday, January 9, 9 am to 12:30 pm at Lyngblomsten inSt. Paul. Please see Kathy Urbaniak or call her (612-825-0950), if you are interested, and about carpooling to the training.

From the Pastoral Search Committee
In January the Pastoral Search Committee will host series of listening sessions. Our objectives are to help us discern what the Judson community is looking for in pastoral leadership and then describe that vision for potential candidates. We will do that by exploring:
- What is your story at Judson?
- What do you want Judson to be for you?
- What is your vision for our community? What are
- your concerns?
- What do you want in pastoral leadership?
- What staffing models will help us to be the
- community we want to be?
You will find sign-up sheets for the listening sessions in the back of the sanctuary each Sunday. Each group will meet three times in January starting January 8 and all meetings will be in the Library. Here’s the schedule:
- Sundays (8th, 15th, 22) — 12:00-1:30 pm
- Mondays (9th, 23rd, 30th) — 10:30am -12:00 pm
(skipping the Martin Luther King holiday) - Mondays (9th, 23rd, 30th) — 7:00-8:30 pm
- (skipping the Martin Luther King holiday)
- Wednesdays (11th, 18th, 25th) — 11:30 am-1:00 pm
- Wednesdays (11th, 18th, 25th) — 7:00-8:30 pm
- Thursdays (12th, 19th, 26th) — 7:00-8:30 pm

We appreciate all your efforts so far in supporting our search for new pastoral leadership. Following the listening sessions, the Search Committee will prepare a recommendation, based on your feedback. That will go first to the Executive Council and then to the congregation. We will then be ready to start the formal search by posting profile information withAmericanBaptistsChurchesand other groups.
