This Sunday, December 18, is Think Three Sunday.  Please bring three (3) items for Joyce Food Shelf.  Of course, you’re not limited to three items, but it is an easy way to remember.  Given these economic times, the food shelf needs your donations now more than ever.  Please consider bringing items for donation to Joyce Food Shelf this Sunday, December 18.  Thank you for your past support and your continued donations.

Tea Bags Wanted

If you have tea bags in your kitchen cupboard that you don’t want anymore, make room for new tea by donating your tea to our Sunday morning Fellowship Time.  Just leave it in the Ann Judson Kitchen.  Unopened boxes will be donated to the food shelves.  Opened boxes will be put out for others to enjoy on Sunday mornings.  You will de-clutter your cupboards and help our coffee/tea budget at the same time.

Purchase a Gift for a Child This Christmas!

The Children’s Education Committee has set up a Christmas tree in the Ann JudsonRoom this season.  On the tree are mitten ornaments stating a gift wish for a child or teen this holiday season.  Please take a tag, purchase the gift and return the gift under the tree, unwrapped with the tag attached, by December 18.  This is a great way to make a difference this holiday season for a family in need!  All gifts will benefit the kids involved with ”People Serving People”.

Appeal for Coats

Thanks to all who donated winter coats and gear to MCC Refugee Services for our annual coat giveaway!  The day was wildly successful, and we gave away close to 200 coats to refugee families.  Indeed, we gave away so many coats that we ran out of children’s coats, leaving some families empty handed at the giveaway.  At this time, we don’t have any kids’ coats to give to newly arriving families when we greet them at the airport.  Can you help us replenish our supply?  This winter, welcome a refugee family seeking a new life of freedom, hope, and opportunity in Minnesota by donating your gently used and new winter coats and gear, especially for children, to MCC Refugee Services. Contact Green at (612) 230-3249 or at green.bouzard@mnchurches.org.
